# Managing Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries are the group of people who are directly benefitted by organizing volunteering events. Using the volunteering portal, you can access the list of beneficiaries, create a beneficiary, and modify the details of a beneficiary.

It is important to create right set of beneficiaries to represent target group of people who are about to benefit. Appropriate names could be a School Name, Name of an Orphanage, a Govt Department, etc.

TIP

As a special case, a beneficiary can be a single person as well. This case is suited to working with interns who are themselves volunteers and beneficiaries as well.

# Create a Beneficiary

# Who Can Perform This Task?

  • Portal administrator

# Procedure:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select the profile image, and from the menu select Admin Panel.
  2. Select Beneficiaries.
  3. Select CREATE NEW BENEFICIARY.
    The ADD NEW BENEFICIARYwindow appears.
  4. Provide values in the available fields as described in the following table. The fields marked * are mandatory.
Field Description
Name Enter the name of the beneficiary.
Description Enter a description of the beneficiary.
Select a category Select the type of the beneficiary.
Contact Person Enter the name of the contact person from the beneficiary organization.
Email Address Enter the email address of the contact person.
Mobile Enter the phone number of the contact person.
Full Address Enter the postal address of the beneficiary organization.
Maps URL Enter the maps URL of the beneficiary organization.
  1. Select CREATE.
    The beneficiary is created.

# Access a List of Beneficiaries

# Who Can Perform This Task?

  • Event administrator
  • Portal administrator

# Procedure:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select the profile image, and from the menu select Admin Panel.
  2. Select Beneficiaries.
    A list of beneficiaries registered in the portal appears.
  3. If needed, select Download All.
    The report is sent to you via email to your registered email address.

# Modify a Beneficiary

# Who Can Perform This Task?

  • Portal administrator

# Procedure:

  1. In the upper-right corner of the page, select the profile image, and from the menu select Admin Panel.
  2. Select Beneficiaries.
  3. For the beneficiary that you want to modify, select EDIT.
    The UPDATE BENEFICIARY window appears.
  4. Modify values in the available fields as described in the following table. The fields marked * are mandatory.
Field Description
Name Change the name of the beneficiary.
Description Change the description of the beneficiary.
Select a category Change the type of the beneficiary.
Contact Person Change the name of the contact person from the beneficiary organization.
Email Address Change the email address of the contact person.
Mobile Change the phone number of the contact person.
Full Address Change the postal address of the beneficiary organization.
Maps URL Change the maps URL of the beneficiary organization.
  1. Select SAVE.
    The changes made to the beneficiary are saved.
