# Getting Started

# Access Events

You can access all the events created in the portal to learn more about them such as the event description, agenda, venue, timings, status, etc. You can also contact the event coordinator to know more about the events they are working on.

There are two ways to get to know about new events in the portal

  1. View all events
  2. Subscribe for new events

# Access all events

NOTE

  • If an event is in the draft state, only an event administrator and the event coordinator for the event can access the event
  • Portal Administrator can access all events irrespective of their status

# Who Can Perform This Task?

  • Anyone who accesses the volunteering portal

# Procedure

  1. Access the following URL: https://volunteer.nirmaan.org
  2. Scroll down to the All Events section.
    A list of events in the last month, this month, and the next month appears, along with the details of each event.

TIP

  • You can filter the list of events by entering the name or description or by selecting a category. If you are already a volunteer, event coordinator, event administrator, or a portal administrator, you can filter the list of events further using additional search criteria.
  • If you want to view past events, check Include Past Events box.
  1. Use the pagination widget at the bottom to navigate to other pages where available.

# Subscribe for Events

When you subscribe for email notifications, you will receive email notifications when a new event is open for registration. You can subscribe for events related to a particular set of categories. By default, you will be subscribed to receive notifications regarding all events.

You will receive an email gist every Thursday based on your email notification preferences. If there are no matching events created in that week, you will not receive any email.

  1. Follow the steps in Manage Your Account to update your email notification preferences

# Access Volunteering Dashboard

The volunteering dashboard showcases the following metrics:

  • The number of volunteers registered on the portal
  • The total number of volunteering hours recorded by all volunteers
  • The total number of beneficiaries impacted across all completed events
  • The total number of events that are created in the portal

This dashboard highlights the entire effort of all volunteers

  1. Access the volunteering portal at https://volunteer.nirmaan.org
  2. Scroll down to the end of the page.

# Who Can Perform This Task?

  • Anyone who accesses the volunteering portal

# Procedure:

  1. Access the volunteering portal at https://volunteer.nirmaan.org
  2. Scroll down to the end of the volunteering portal.
  3. Select the category of the event, and enter values in the remaining fields. The fields marked * are mandatory.
  4. Select Submit.
    An email will be sent to the portal administrator, who will contact you in sometime.
